Meet Jen

I am a mother to a lovely 2-year-old boy and wife to an unbelievably supportive husband, and owner to our wonderful cockapoo, Coco. We live in Poole and aside from cake artistry, my hobbies include beach walks, looking after my houseplants, and going on family days out together.

I love impressing people with cake. That’s the truth. The taste, the detail, the size, the look, the power of different ingredients, tools, and decorations. There’s so much you can do to make a cake that captures your style, personality, or story. I’m a perfectionist, and I love being able to incorporate my artistic streak into my work. Beyond appearance, I take immense pride in the luxury flavours of
my cakes and the stress-free experience I give to my couples.

The face behind Crumbs N’ Roses

Hello! It’s nice to get to know the face behind the cake, so here’s a little bit about me.

From as early as I can remember, I’ve always been a baker. I have fond memories of making cupcakes for school fairs with my mum and sisters, and the lovely comments from friends at school saying it was the best cake they had ever eaten.

Whether dried, fresh, or pressed, stunning florals on a cake form my signature style. I love finishing a classic fondant or contemporary, rustic naked cake with a gorgeous mini bouquet. I will work with you or your florist to understand the style you are looking to achieve.

And finally
MEET JEN

The question I’m constantly asked by family and friends – would I apply to go on bake off? No. I’m all about cake, and am not particularly gifted when it comes to bread or pastry. I did however once go to the ‘Extra Slice’ showing in London with my sister, and we made a cake that was Noel’s folded up shirts. It was brilliant.
